In Season 5 of Call of Duty: Warzone there will be many new features: new weapons, new operators and the long-awaited map change. Here's what's new
An image posted on social media and on some websites has been making a lot of noise in the last few hours: it's the poster that announces all the news of Season 5 of Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The most important news, however, concerns Activison's Battle Royale that in recent months is undermining Fortnite as one of the favorite titles of gamers. In the fifth season of Call of Duty: Warzone, players have high hopes, especially with regard to the changes to the map: although it is very large and varied, it is now time to change it.
And the players will be satisfied: one of the biggest news will be about the map change. In the poster you can read quite clearly that there will be an update of the map, with the opening of the stadium and other important news. The only flaw concerns the timing of arrival of the update: the change of map will not be present immediately, but will arrive in the following weeks. The start of Season 5 of Call of Duty: Warzone is also set for August 5, 2020 at 8:00 am.
Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5: all the news
Let's get this straight. Season 5 will bring a major update to Call of Duty: Warzone, but not everything will be available from the start. New content will be released over time to give players a chance to get a taste of what's new. Let's start with the new features that will be available at launch: a new operator (Soap), two new weapons (an assault rifle and a shotgun), a new game mode called Prestige that should be very interesting, tanks that will be deployed along the map and finally the nuclear bomb. This last element is the one that makes fans dream the most: how will the nuclear bomb be used? What will be its effects on the gameplay? And how will it be unlocked? All of these questions will be answered soon.
Let's move on to phase 2 of Season 5, the one in which there will finally be a change of the map with the opening of the stadium, the presence of a train that runs throughout the map and other innovations on which the developers are still working. In this second Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 update, there will also be room for two more new operators (Farah and Sandman), new game modes and, most importantly, two more new weapons: a machine gun and a light machine gun.
When is Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 coming out
Although there is no official word yet, Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 is expected to start on August 5 at 8:00 am. The size of the update is unknown, but it will almost certainly be greater than 30GB, as is the case with all new seasons.
