Gmail, possible to send GIFs thanks to Google keyboard

Mountain View has updated the Gboard keyboard on Android to allow you to insert and share animated GIFs within Gmail

Lately, Google has been working hard to make a number of improvements on its Gboard keyboard. Recently on iOS devices direct search via Google has been integrated into the keyboard and now Mountain View has thought of something new for Gmail users on Android: Gboard will have support for GIFs.

Until now on the Gmail email service users of various Android devices couldĀ use the Google keyboard, but they had no support for searching and sharing animated GIFs. From now on, however, Android users will be able to decide if they want to make their emails more fun and funny using this new feature. The Gboard update with this new feature is already available for download on the Google Play Store, although at the moment it is not downloadable in all countries and will be gradually released worldwide in a few weeks.

How it works

To add a GIF to your message users just need to click on the emoji section on the Gboard keyboard within the Gmail service. We will be able to choose a GIF suggested by the keyboard, based on the most used ones at the moment, or do a personal search using keywords. Android users in the United States, in addition to the new GIF feature, will also see a new icon integrated into the keyboard, useful for a new service that will allow you to send and receive money directly with a tap on the keyboard.
