Google announces a new Collection for the straps of the Fitbit Sense and Versa 3, and the renewal of the collaboration with Victor Glemaud: here's all the news.
The "Google cure" seems to have done well for Fitbit, a well-known company that for years has been producing fitness technology accessories among the best on the market. Fitbit, for those who don't know, passed into the hands of Google in November 2019 for the monstrous sum of over 2 billion dollars, an outlay partly justified by the notoriety achieved over the years by the company to the sound of valid and appreciated products.
Fitbit, which was founded in 2007 in San Francisco, launched its first line of accessories in 2014 with the aim of making more "glamorous" and therefore desirable for everyone of the accessories that, after all, can spur anyone to move more than they do, and therefore to feel better about themselves. Over the years, therefore, various accessories for Fitbit products have been created in collaboration with designers of the caliber of Kim Shui, Pendleton, PH5, Public School, Tory Burch and Vera Wang, in order to keep a wellness tool on your wrist without sacrificing style. Since Google took the helm of Fitbit, it hasn't cancelled its accessory lines, quite the opposite. So come two Designer Collections as well as new choices for Fitbit Sense and Fitbit Versa 3 smartwatch owners.
Designer Collection with Brother Vellies
Fitbit's latest unreleased Designer Collection is created in collaboration with Brother Vellies, a luxury accessories maison "based on the ideal of building a bridge between artisans and cultures through design." Brother Vellies' Designer Collection is also the result of a long-standing agreement with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), which has given Fitbit the opportunity to collaborate with emerging designers.
The collection for Fitbit is made from Horween leather, including straps that are handcrafted with premium oils and dyes and tanned using traditional techniques so that they fit best on the wrist and over time develop that cherished aged finish. The Designer Collection by Brother Vellies is available for the Fitbit Versa 3 and Sense on the Fitbit portal for €54.99.
Designer Collection with Victor Glemaud
New collaboration between Fitbit and Victor Glemaud. These are comfortable and versatile straps made from Repreve recycled plastic fibers and inspired by the ideals of inclusivity and a wide range of skin tones. They come in various colors ranging from light to dark, "to make your style shine from day to night," Google writes.
These are also on sale on the official portal for Fitbit Versa 3 and Sense for €44.99.
Fitbit Sense and Fitbit Versa 3, the new coloring
Also, Google lets it be known that the two smartwatches Fitbit Sense and Versa 3 are now available in stainless steel with coloring sage / silver gray, at the usual list price of 299.99 euros that, however, sometimes drops to 269.99 euros thanks to offers.
New straps coming
Since August 25, the sage gray coloration will also enrich the colors available for the straps, so anyone can buy it for 29.99 euros (but they are often on promotion for 14.99 euros). There will also come the straps with tear-off, vegan leather and softer, breathable and durable silicone for the benefit of athletes.
