Honor 60 and 60 Pro official: features and prices

Honor 60 and Honor 60 Pro have just been made official: they improve on their predecessors while remaining quite similar. They will arrive in Italy with Google apps

He had said it, Honor: the new generation of mid-range and mid-high end smartphones will arrive on December 1, and so it was. No more rumors and assumptions, Honor 60 and Honor 60 Pro are official and now you just have to wait for the moment when they cross borders and seas to arrive in Italy.

The two new Honor, as we had anticipated a few days ago, follow the lines of their predecessors launched in the summer and compared to these make targeted improvements. No aesthetic or functional revolution, then: the Honor 60 are "soft revolutions" compared to the products of which they take the place. And they are also quite similar to each other: Honor 60 Pro with the same memories of the "standard" variant has a larger display, a slightly more powerful chip and cameras - the ultra wide-angle and the one for selfies - better. Here are technical specifications and prices of Honor 60 and Honor 60 Pro.

Honor 60 and Honor 60 Pro, how they look

Honor 60 and 60 Pro have pretty similar screens. If the dimensions are different, 6.67 inches for the first, 6.78 inches for the second, both are Full HD+ OLEDs that integrate the fingerprint reader, with 120 Hz refresh rate and 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space.

On the two smartphones, Honor has used an almost identical chip: it is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 778G, in slightly more powerful variant - Plus - on Honor 60 Pro. Memory side there are 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage on both.

Honor 60 and 60 Pro share two of the three rear cameras, the 108-megapixel main one with f/1.9 aperture and the 2 MP portrait enhancement sensor. The ultra wide-angle instead is different: 8-megapixel at 112 degrees on Honor 60, 50 MP at 122 degrees with macro function (up to 2.5 cm from the subject) on Honor 60 Pro. 50 megapixels that are also found in the selfie camera of the latter, while on Honor 60 was used a 32 MP sensor for photos and videos.

The remaining specifications, however, are identical. The two Honor 60s have an almost impeccable connectivity compartment consisting of 5G, Dual SIM, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 LE with A2DP and aptX HD for music streaming, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS, and again NFC for payments and USB-C 2.0 input for charging and data transfer.

The Honor 60 and Honor 60 Pro's battery is 4,800 mAh and there's fast charging at 66 watts. The variant announced in China does not have Google's services and apps, but that's nothing new because it's a common condition for all other smartphones. By the time they reach us instead, just as happened to the Honor 50, they will have the Magic UI 5.0 interface with Google services and apps.

Honor 60 and Honor 60 Pro, how much they cost

Honor 60 and Honor 60 Pro are official in China, where the first with 8+128 GB is sold starting from the equivalent of about 370 euros while the second, in "basic" variant 8+256 GB from 510 euros approximately.

They will almost certainly arrive (but at higher prices) in Italy, but we imagine it may take a while since the Honor 50, from us, are a recent novelty.
