Helpful tips on how to perform incognito surfing on Android smartphones to maintain privacy about your online activity: here's how to enable it.
How to surf incognito on Android? Surely many people during their online activity have wondered many times how to access websites without leaving any trace of their search.
This usually happens because you want to keep the content of your activity secret, so that no third party can view the searches within the history using the same device. Here are Libero Tecnologia's tips for surfing incognito with Android devices.
Incognito surfing on Android: why?
At the heart of the topic of incognito surfing on Android is the concept of privacy. It often happens that there are devices that are used by more than one person, such as PCs for business use or computers that can be accessed by all family members. To prevent other people from checking our online activity, you can choose the option of incognito browsing. This way our searches will not appear in the "history" section.
It is still true that a search can always be deleted from the history. But if you forget it, you might have problems that should not be underestimated, which can also put in crisis interpersonal relationships.
How to enable incognito browsing on Android
Enabling incognito browsing on Android is quite intuitive. Obviously, the instructions vary depending on which browser you decide to use to access the Internet.
Google Chrome
Google Chrome is undoubtedly the most widely used browser on Android devices. In order to access anonymous browsing, the first step is to open the app and click on the three vertical dots in the top right corner. This opens a window with numerous options. By choosing the second one, called "New incognito tab", you can access anonymous browsing, without any evidence in the history.
Mozilla Firefox
On Android devices, however, it is not uncommon to use Mozilla Firefox to access the Internet. In this case, after opening the app, you need to click on the icon located in the upper right corner. Here an additional icon will appear, named "Mask", accompanied by a "plus" button.
Disadvantages and disadvantages of private browsing with Android
At the beginning of the article we mentioned the privacy reasons why people access the internet in incognito mode. However, there are also other reasons that should not be underestimated. First of all, the possibility of surfing without the hassle of personalized advertising, which is very limited with the private mode (although not completely eliminated). Secondly, don't forget the possibility of accessing several accounts of a site with different profiles (for example, with Facebook or Mail).
The disadvantages include the impossibility of obscuring the IP address, which is always visible. More in detail: the anonymous browsing ensures that the visited sites are not visible in the history, but the traces of such activity remain traceable through the IP address and the downloads that are made.
