Rumors and anticipations begin to reveal some more information about the upcoming devices of the Huawei P30 family. The Chinese company continues its policy of diversification and will launch during the Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona as many as three new devices: the Huawei P30 Lite, the Huawei P30 and the Huawei P30 Pro. Apart from the name, the three smartphones will have very little in common: the chipset will be different, as well as the photo compartment and the size of the screen.
The new smartphones will follow the philosophy launched by Huawei last year with the P20: high-end devices with a premium photo compartment. The goal is to remain at the top of the list of the best cameraphones of 2019. The Huawei P30 will have a triple rear camera with a 40-megapixel main sensor, while the P30 Pro will have as many as four lenses with a ToF (Time of Flight) sensor dedicated to depth of field. The Huawei P30 Lite, on the other hand, will be the mid-range device that will have to clash with the Galaxy S10 Lite, the new smartphone that marks the debut of Samsung in the midrange with the Galaxy S series.
How will the Huawei P30
For its new devices Huawei has decided to adopt the design with the teardrop notch, a novelty of 2019 that we will see on many devices. The Huawei P30 will have a 6-inch display with FullHD+ resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. On board the Kirin 980 (the same one found on the Mate 20 Pro) with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. At the back will find place a triple camera with 40 Megapixel main sensor and 20 Megapixel and 5 Megapixel secondaries. The fingerprint sensor will be under the screen.
Completely different the Huawei P30 Lite, which will share with its big brother only the screen size. The smartphone will have a Kirin 710 processor with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The rear camera will be dual only and the fingerprint sensor will be physical and placed on the back.
We conclude with the Huawei P30 Pro. The smartphone will be Huawei's premium device for early 2019. On board will be an enhanced version of the Kirin 980 (probably named Kirin 985), with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. At the back, there will be room for a quad camera embellished with a ToF (Time of Flight) sensor that collects depth of field data. In the Huawei P30 Pro, the fingerprint sensor under the screen returns.
When will the Huawei P30
All three devices will be presented at the Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona or at the latest at an event that Huawei will organize for the first weeks of March. For the marketing will have to wait until the end of March. Prices still to be defined, but for the Huawei P30 Pro will come to spend a figure close to 1000 euros.
