Huawei has published on its English forum the calendar with the release dates of EMUI 10.1. Here's when it arrives on your smartphones
Important news for users who have a Huawei smartphone: the Chinese company has published on its English forum a table with the update of the release of EMUI 10.1, user interface update that brings with it many new features. The release of EMUI 10.1 has started a few weeks ago for the main Huawei smartphones and will continue in the coming weeks with the aim of reaching as many people as possible.
In contrast to Huawei's initial plans, things are going a bit slow due to delays and differences between one country and another. Huawei's goal is to complete the process by summer, at least for all smartphones for which the UI release has already started. At the moment, only two smartphone models have already completed the process of updating to EMUI 10.1: the Huawei P40 Lite and the Mate 30 Pro. All the others, however, either have to complete it or have yet to start it. Here is the updated schedule with the update release times for Huawei smartphones.
When EMUI 10.1 arrives on Huawei smartphones
Huawei's English forum updates us on the EMUI 10.1 release times. The process began in mid-May with the Huawei P40 Lite and is continuing on all the most important devices of the Chinese company.
From the published table we can see that at the moment only on two smartphones the update to EMUI 10.1 has been completed: the Huawei P40 Lite the Huawei Mate 30 Pro. All the others are still in the update phase, or have yet to start it. For the Huawei P30, Huawei P30 Pro, Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 RS and Mate 20X the update started between late May and early July and will be completed in the coming weeks.
Discussion is different, however, for the Mate Xs, the Mate 20x (4G version) and Nova 5T. In this case, the update has not started yet, but it is expected between mid-July and early August.
How to update your Huawei smartphone to EMUI 10.1
There is no precise date for the release of the update: it could arrive today or in a month. That's why Huawei recommends that you frequently check in the Settings of your smartphone (within the System > System Updates section) or by opening the HiCare app and check if the update to EMUI 10.1 is available.
