From time to time you will be surprised by certain events in Valheim. In these, enemies come to you on their own, which can be a challenge. We explain what to do.

Events bring additional dynamics to the game, especially when the hordes of enemies appear at an inopportune time.

Events provide spontaneous action in Valheim

It is important to distinguish between two types of events:

• Progress-based events depend on how far you have advanced in the game. This refers to the bosses in the game. Before you defeat the first boss, Eikthyr, he can send mermaids and boars after you. The onslaught lasts for about 90 seconds and is announced by a writing. Have you mastered Eikthyr, the second boss (the Ancient One) is the turn to send you occasional visitors to the base.
• The other type of events is based on the number of creatures killed. Here skeletons, trolls, wolves and surtlings are possible, partly also depending on how your status is in the boss fights.

The events last between 90 and 150 seconds and are a stress test for your base. If you have a stable defense, you can simply sit out the attack. On the other hand, the enemies represent a good opportunity to get materials and increase skills.
