Iceborne: Awakened Weapons Explained

By fighting Safi'jiva, you gain so-called dracolites. These are a key element for new weapons, because:

• Weapons from Safi'jiva can be "awakened". This is done with dracolites, whose energy is transferred to the weapon.
• The potential of weapons is divided into several levels. When reaching new levels, you can integrate a new skill into the weapon.
• The skills are divided into categories (one to five stars). Only one five-star skill can be incorporated per weapon, but the lower skills can be stacked multiple times.
• The skills can be swapped out later.

Overall, Safi'jiva weapon awakening is similar to Iceborne's revamped augmentation system in that it allows for more flexibility and customization, while the random factor of farming is significantly lower.
