If WhatsApp crashes a single time, you should simply close the app and reopen it:

1. The first thing you should test when WhatsApp crashes is to close the app completely once.
2. On Android, tap the list icon at the bottom left to do this. On the iPhone, swipe up from the bottom of the screen.
3. Then you see the individual apps that are running in the background and can close the application. To do this, swipe WhatsApp upwards. This gesture is the same for Android and iOS.

Update software
