On Facebook you have the possibility to share photos, videos and other content with your friends on a daily basis. Additionally, you can create your own profile by posting a photo and providing other information such as your birthday. Alternatively, you can also hide this data from your friends.

How to hide your birthday in Facebook

In Facebook, you have the option to specify additional information to enhance your profile. This information includes the school you attended, where you live or your birthday. If you want to specify the information, but do not want to share it with your friends, then Facebook offers you a function that allows you to hide certain information.

1. Both in the old and new design of Facebook, you change your birthday via the "Info" button.
2. In the new Facebook, click on the triangle in the upper right corner beforehand to open a drop-down menu. Then select the option "Info".
3. Now click on "Contact information and general info".
4. Further down you will find the date of birth. Here you can change the birthday via "Edit". Here you also specify who can see this information via the target group selection. As groups you can select "Friends", "Public" or "Only me". Vor allen anderen Gruppen wird der Geburtstag verborgen.
