AirPods Control - with Tips to the Goal
Since Apple launched iOS 11, you have a wider range of commands you can give your AirPods by using tips. This makes controlling the wireless headphones even easier and more efficient in your everyday life.
Controlling AirPods: Use commands
With a slight modification, you can assign individual commands to your AirPods, which you implement by tapping on the headphones. Here, the selection of commands depends on their usage behavior.- Open the settings on your iOS device and select your AirPods in the Bluetooth menu.
- Click on the option "Double tap on AirPod". You will now see the options you can select for each AirPod.
- You can choose between Siri, play/pause playback, skip between tracks, and disable the features completely.
- Assign each AirPod a specific function that you want the headphones to perform with a double tap.
- However, you should know that you cannot yet set individual preferences regarding calls. Thus, calls are still accepted by tapping the headphones.
- So switching between calls also remains unchanged.
