Facebook: Find posts again - this is how it works

If you have seen an interesting post on Facebook and have not saved it, it is possible to find it again using the search function. How to do this correctly and how to find old posts from your own chronicle, we explain in this article.

How to find posts on Facebook with the search function

For some time now, Facebook has had a new, improved search function. Unlike before, it is not only possible to search for friends or other people with this, but also to find individual posts again.
  1. To search for a post, please first open the Facebook website or the Facebook app on your mobile device.
  2. Then click on the search box at the top of the window and type in a term that is included in the post you are looking for.
  3. Thereupon you will be shown a list of all posts from your contacts as well as liked pages and you can search for the post in it.

Facebook: How to find your own Chronicle posts again

The procedure described above is suitable if you are looking for a post from your friends or from a Facebook page. However, if the post you want to find is an older post in your own history, there is another way to display it. To do this, call up your Facebook profile and click on "Current". Thereupon you will be shown various years, from which you please select one to view the posts from that year.
