How to use Netflix on the PlayStation 4

To use Netflix not only in the browser, but also on the PlayStation 4 for streaming, you need the appropriate Netflix app. We explain step by step how to install it on the console, set it up, and use it to watch movies and series.

How to install Netflix on PlayStation 4

If you want to watch your favorite series or movies from the streaming portal Netflix on PlayStation 4 as well, it is possible on all PlayStation models. However, you need the Netflix app for this and have to install it on the PS4 first. The app is available for free and can be downloaded directly from the PlayStation Store.

1. To download the Netflix app or another app, please open the PlayStation Store on your console and navigate to "Apps" > "Movies & TV Series".
2. Search for "Netflix" there and download the app by clicking "Download".
3. Alternatively, you can also install the Netflix app by going to "TV & Video" on the PS4 home screen, clicking on the "Netflix icon" and selecting "Download."

How to use Netflix on the PlayStation 4

Once you have installed the Netflix app on the PlayStation 4 as described above, you will find it in the "TV and Video" section and can open it by clicking on the Netflix icon. To connect the PlayStation 4 to your Netflix account, please sign in with your email address and password or create a new account. To start a playback on the PlayStation 4 afterwards, navigate to the corresponding movie with the controller and start it by pressing the "X" button.
