Star Citizen: Landing automatically - how it works

Just like in real aerospace, landing is a special challenge in Star Citizen. In many places in the game, automatic landing therefore comes in handy.

Just sit back - that's the motto for automatic landing in Star Citizen.

With the new flight model implemented in 2019, landings are quite possible even without helpers, provided a little practice. Nevertheless, the automatic landing is very practical.

How to land your ship automatically in Star Citizen

To land automatically, the following requirements must be met:

• You must approach a landing site with Air Traffic Control (ATC), such as Port Olisar, Area 18 (ArcCorp) or Levski (Delamar).
• You must be cleared to land.
• The landing gear must be extended.

If these requirements are met, you must proceed over the marked landing area. Then press and hold (by default) "N" to initiate the automatic landing. If this does not happen, you will have to intervene manually, which should not be a problem for a real space pilot.
