Restarting Apple TV: These options are available

If your Apple TV does not work as desired, a restart can help. Since the hardware itself doesn't have an on/off button, in this article we'll show you the methods you can use to restart your Apple TV via the software.

With or without remote control: Apple TV can be restarted in quite a few different ways.

Apple TV turns normal TVs into Smart TVs. Malfunctions are therefore not welcome and a restart promises improvement.

In total, there are three different ways to restart the Apple TV. The first:

1. Open the "Settings" in the menu.
2. Depending on the generation of your Apple TV, you can now select "General" or "System".
3. There you will see the "Restart" option.

Alternatively, the restart also works via remote control: Press on the Siri Remote so long simultaneously on the home and the menu button until the light on the hardware begins to flash.Another method is almost even easier: Disconnect Apple TV for about ten seconds from the power and connect the device again. The hardware will then boot up automatically and this is equivalent to a reboot.
