Inserting GIFs into email - these options are available

Many email programs already offer functions that allow you to edit your emails. However, this is usually limited to font and color changes. If you would like the email to be even more appealing, then you can also insert images or GIFs. Only a few steps are necessary for this.

How to insert a GIF into an email

E-mails are sent for different purposes nowadays. If you want to make the mail more appealing, you can change the color and type of your font in most email programs. Other basic formatting is also possible. Another option is to insert animations. Here GIFs offer themselves, since these are compressed and thus require little storage space.

1. Use the e-mail program Outlook, you can include a GIF in the e-mail via the menu "Insert".
2. Select the menu option "Graphics" and then "from file".
3. Find the GIF on your computer via the file manager and click the "Insert" button.
4. Have you inserted the GIF, it usually does not appear as an animation. This is because the mail is displayed in a preview mode. Once you have sent it, however, it will be displayed to the recipient with animated GIF.
5. You can also insert GIFs in other email programs. The steps are similar, but the names of the menus may differ.
