Android 11: Block callers - here's how to do it

Under Android 11, you have the option to block unwanted calls. In this case, you just need to block the corresponding user so that they cannot make the call. This is easily possible for both ordinary calls and video calls via the Google Duo app.

How to block callers on Android 11

If you do not want to be called by a person on Android, then it is necessary to block the corresponding phone number. To do this, go to the phone app and tap on the icon with the three dots below each other at the top. Then select the "Call list" entry. Here, go to the call from the number you want to block. Now tap on the "Block/Report spam" option. To unblock, tap "Settings" > "Blocked numbers" in the menu and select the X icon next to the entry. Tap on "Unblock." You can also block users via the Google Duo app.
  1. Open the Google Duo app and tap for a few seconds on the contact you want to block.
  2. Here you will now see several options. Select "Block user." You will recognize the item by an icon with a circle and a white minus.
