iPhone X: Block number - so you won't be harassed

On iPhone X, you can reach contacts in different ways. Phone, FaceTime and Messages are available to get in touch with people. But it happen that these services are used for spam. In such a case, it is advisable to block the corresponding contact.

How do you block a number on the iPhone X?

You can block different contacts for different services of the iPhone X.

1. You can very easily block a phone number that you want them to stop calling you with the call log.
2. To do this, find the number in the call log and tap on the small exclamation mark to the right of the number. Now tap on "Block caller" at the very bottom of the list.
3. If you want to block someone on FaceTime, open the app and tap on the small exclamation mark next to the contact or number you want to block. Now you can tap on "Block caller".
4. If you find yourself in a conversation with a contact on the messaging service, simply click on the contact at the top and then on the small i next to the number. Hier können Sie nun auf „Anrufer blockieren“ tippen.

Haben Sie einen Anrufer blockiert, so kann dieser Ihnen weiterhin eine Voicemail aufs Band sprechen. Sie werden darüber jedoch nicht benachrichtigt und der blockierte Kontakt erhält keine Mitteilung, dass er blockiert wurde.
