Fritzbox: Turn on WLAN - how to do it
To surf the Internet wirelessly, you need the WLAN of your Fritzbox. If this is not activated, you have several options to turn on the router's WLAN function. Which methods there are and how you use them, we show you in our guide.
This is how you switch on the WLAN on the Fritzbox
If you have a Fritzbox, accessing the Internet is not possible via LAN cable, but also via WLAN. However, in order to use the WLAN function, its activation is required beforehand. If you are setting up the Fritzbox for the first time, a WLAN network is automatically set up during the setup process. If the WLAN connection is active, the WLAN LED of the Fritzbox lights up green. If this is not the case, it is also possible to switch on the WLAN manually. To do this, simply press the WLAN button on the Fritzbox.- Alternatively, the WLAN can also be switched on via the Fritzbox user interface.
- To do this, enter the IP address of the router or "http://fritz.box "in the address field in a browser of your choice and confirm with "Enter".
- Then log in to the user interface and navigate to "WLAN"> "Wireless Network".
