Apple offers you to store your data in iCloud. This gives you the ability to access your data from anywhere with any Apple device. The iCloud is many servers where the data is stored centrally.

How Apple's iCloud works

The iCloud is used to sync your content on each of your Apple devices. However, you need to be connected to the Internet to do this. You also have the option to decide which content on your devices should be synced via the settings. Before you can use the service, you must first activate it.
