Dropbox doesn't sync: here's what to do

Dropbox is a useful service that lets you access your photos, videos, documents or other files regardless of your location. If the files do not sync properly, this can have different causes.

Dropbox does not sync: How to get to the bottom of the problem

There can be several underlying causes of a sync not happening. Take a step-by-step approach to fix the error and use your Dropbox as usual. First, check if there is a connection to the Internet. The LAN or WLAN icon is located at the bottom right of the taskbar. Check to see if an active connection is displayed. If this is not the case, this may already be the reason why your Dropbox does not synchronize.
  • Check your Dropbox login: Navigate to the Dropbox icon located in your taskbar. Click on it and go to the gear icon in the new window to open the settings. Select the "Account" tab and log in again if you are logged out.
  • Continue paused syncs: Open the settings and select "Continue sync". If the item is visible, you have paused a synchronization. Achten Sie in den Einstellungen zudem darauf, ob Sie die selektive Synchronisierung verwenden und deaktivieren Sie diese.
