Restore Windows backup - how to do it

If you plan to reset your computer, it is necessary to create a backup to save the contents on your system. After you reset the device to factory settings, you can then restore your Windows backup. This way, your contents will also be completely saved on the system.

How to restore your Windows backup

If you want to back up the files that are on your Windows system, then it may be worthwhile to create a backup. Especially, it is a good idea if you want to reset your system afterwards - regardless of whether you completely reinstall Windows or use the option provided by the operating system for this purpose. After the process is complete, you can restore the backup.

1. In the search box at the bottom left of the desktop, type "Control Panel" and double-click on the result of the same name.
2. Now select the option "System and Security" here.
3. Next, click on the item "Security and Maintenance".
4. Here you will now find the "Restore" button. Klicken Sie auf diese.
5. Klicken Sie nun auf „Systemwiederherstellung öffnen“.
6. Im nächsten Fenster werden Sie nach den „Administrator-Daten“ gefragt. Geben Sie diese in die entsprechenden Textfelder ein. Die Daten sind für gewöhnlich die Anmeldedaten Ihres Accounts.
7. Bestätigen Sie die Eingabe mit „Ja“ und gehen Sie anschließend auf „Weiter“.
8. Klicken Sie abschließend auf „Fertigstellen“, um die „Systemwiederherstellung“ zu starten.
