No Man's Sky: Change perspective - how it works

Originally, the character in No Man's Sky was controlled exclusively from the first-person perspective. Then, with the NEXT update, the third person was introduced. Read how to change the perspective.

A matter of perspective: No Man's Sky now gives you two options.

If you want to see the worlds of No Man's Sky from a different angle, this is now possible.

How to change the perspective in No Man's Sky

To change the perspective, proceed as follows:

1. Call up the quick selection with "X" (PC).
2. Scroll to the far left to "Tools".
3. Select "Change camera view" and confirm this.

If the third-person perspective was previously active, you now play No Man's Sky from the first-person perspective. Incidentally, this is also possible with the spaceship: here, the cockpit perspective is set by default, but switching to the external perspective is possible if desired. The path is analogous to the one already described; however, there is no way to activate the switch at the press of a button.
