Excel is a spreadsheet program from Microsoft that allows you to view various calculations and charts. This includes the ability to automatically count how many values occur in a table. In Excel, the best way to do this is with the COUNT and COUNT IF functions.

In Office's Excel, there are various functions that count different contents depending on their type.

1. With the COUNT function, you can count numbers in a certain range. Text is ignored.
2. To do this, click on an empty cell and enter "=ANZAHL(A1:A10)". With this command, the cell will display the number of numbers that are in column A between the first and the tenth cell.
3. With "=ANZAHL2(A1:A10)" you get the number of all cells with content. It does not matter what kind of content it is.
