Samsung Galaxy A70: Change PIN - how it works

The PIN protects your smartphone from unauthorized access by third parties. The Samsung Galaxy A70 has two different PINs: the device's own PIN and that of the SIM card. Via the settings of your Galaxy A70, you have the option to customize both PINs and change them according to your preferences.

Change SIM card PIN

The PIN for your SIM card is usually preset, you can adjust it via the settings of your A70:

1. Open the settings and navigate to the category "Users".
2. Tap on "Security".
3. Select "Set up SIM lock" there.
4. Now select the SIM card where you want to change the PIN and tap "Change PIN".
5. Enter your old PIN and tap "OK".
6. Now you can set a new PIN. Confirm your entry again with "OK. Finally, enter the new PIN again and confirm with "OK" to complete the change.

Change device-internal PIN of the Samsung Galaxy A70

In addition to the PIN for the SIM card, you can also change the device-internal PIN. Sie wird im normalen Betrieb in der Regel zum Entsperren des Smartphones verwendet.
