If you take a screenshot, the current screen content is saved as a photo. Taking such a screenshot is possible on Apple devices with iOS 10 simply by using a key combination.

How to take a screenshot on iPhones with iOS 10

The procedure to take a screenshot on the iPhone has not changed with the update from iOS 9 to iOS 10.

1. To capture the current content on the screen in a screenshot, please press the power button and the home button of the device at the same time.
2. The screen of your iPhone will then light up briefly, and the created screenshot will be automatically saved in the Photos app in the "Screenshots" folder.
3. On the other hand, if you use iOS 10 on an iPhone without a home button, please press the "Power Button" and the "Volume Up Button" of the device instead to create the screenshot.
