Samsung Galaxy S7 (Edge): Create folder

If you want to save your apps on the Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge in a folder, you have to create it first. You can read here how the folder creation works directly on the home screen of the Samsung smartphone and how to add more apps to the folder.

How to create new folders on Samsung Galaxy S7 (Edge)

If you have a Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge, you can create custom folders for your apps on it. This is especially useful if there are too many apps on your homescreen and you have lost track of them.
  1. To create a new folder, first press and hold the icon of the first app you want to add to a folder.
  2. Then drag the app with your finger to a second app and release it there.
  3. Thereupon, Android automatically creates a folder for the two apps and you can specify a name for the folder.
  4. Once created, you have the option to add more apps to the folder by dragging them into the folder.

Samsung Galaxy S7: How to delete created folders again from the device

If you no longer need a created folder, you can easily delete it again from your Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. For this to work, however, it is necessary to remove all app icons, except for one, from the folder. Befindet sich nur noch eine App im erstellten Ordner, wird dieser automatisch gelöscht, da sich immer mindestens zwei App-Symbole in einem Ordner befinden müssen.
