Reddit: Switching accounts - how to do it in the browser and mobile

On Reddit, users are allowed to create multiple accounts and switch between them at any time. Our guide explains how switching works in the social platform's web view and app.

Better overview: many users resort to multiple Reddit accounts.

A second account (or possibly a third or fourth account) is practical, for example, to separate different topics and subreddits from each other.

How to switch between your Reddit accounts

In the web view, switch accounts as follows:

1. Click your account name in the top right corner.
2. Select "Log Out" to log out.
3. Then access Reddit.com again to log back in. Select the account you want to do this with, or enter the account credentials yourself.

In the app, the switch is even easier:

1. Tap the profile icon at the top left.
2. Tap the account name at the top, with a down arrow next to it.
3. All available accounts will now pop up at the bottom. Tap an account to activate it.

After the change, you will directly see the contents of the selected account. The account switch thus allows a separation of different topics and areas of interest.
