How to update Flash Player directly in the browser

To always use the latest version of Flash Player and protect yourself from security vulnerabilities, you should update Flash Player regularly. To avoid having to manually check for Flash Player updates, it is recommended that you set up the automatic update option in the player settings.
  1. To change the update settings directly in the browser you are using, please right-click on any Flash content to open the context menu.
  2. From the context menu, then select the "Global Settings" option and switch to the "Advanced" tab in the pop-up window.
  3. In the "Updates" section, you now have the option to select one of the three update options "Allow Adobe to install updates", "Notify me when updates are ready for installation" or "Never check for updates".

Flash Player: Perform the update under Windows

If you have a Windows PC, it is alternatively possible to update the Flash Player via the Control Panel. To do this, double-click on the "Adobe Flash Player" entry and in the window that opens, go to the "Updates" tab to select one of the three options to check for available updates. To check if there is currently a Flash Player update, you can click the "Check Now" button in the "Updates" tab.
