Open torrent files - here's how to do it

To download a file via a torrent file-sharing provider, you need a special program. The torrent file does not yet contain the desired content, but only consists of information that can be used to start a download. You start this with a free download client such as uTorrent.

Downloading files from torrent

Torrent files cannot be easily opened or unzipped. The file only provides information about the download. To start the download, you need a so-called torrent client. This program connects to the torrent network and downloads the desired file. After that, many programs start "seeding". In this process, you make the file available to other users. You can cancel this process. Torrents are often used to anonymously share files on the Internet. However, this is another area where file-sharing platforms are now being monitored. So, be careful when using torrent and stop seeding to avoid sharing files through your computer. Also, scan each file for malware before opening it.

So öffnen Sie eine Torrent-Datei

1. Laden Sie die Torrent-Datei auf Ihren Computer.

3. Öffnen Sie den Client.

5. Suchen Sie im Explorer die Torrent-Datei und wählen Sie diese aus.
