Laptop with Windows 10 is slow: What to do?

It is not uncommon for Windows 10 to suddenly seem like the operating system has taken a step backwards after an update. Many programs no longer load properly, all actions take forever to execute, and there is no indication as to why this is all of a sudden.

Nearly after every update, some functions and features are re-enabled in Windows, which can be very time-consuming depending on your laptop or computer.

1. First, go to System Preferences by using the [Windows] key and searching for "System Preferences" using the search function.
2. Now navigate to the entry "System" and further to the item "Notifications and Actions".
3. There you will now find the option "Show Windows tips", which you disable by clicking on the slider.
4. Now you have to restart the laptop for the changes to take effect.

Windows 10 still slow

1. After an update, the autostart may also have changed.
