War Thunder: Ships - Overview Info

War Thunder started as an air-only combat MMO at release. In May 2014, War Thunder was expanded by developer studio Gaijin Entertainment to include tanks and ground battles. With the update 1.83 "Masters of the Sea", the battlefield has now been expanded to the sea.

Unlike in World of Warships, War Thunder relies more on smaller ships. Light cruisers and destroyers are the largest ships represented in War Thunder to date.However, in addition to destroyers, there are a number of smaller ships that you can control:

• Missile boats: this type of boat is armed with missiles that you can use against opponents other ships.
• Torpedo boats: these ships are small, maneuverable and fast, but with enormous destructive power. This type of ship equipped with torpedoes is particularly suitable for sinking other boats.
• Cannon boats: this is the all-rounder of the three different types. The ship is equipped with light guns, with which you can sink other boats or even shoot planes from the air.

The smaller boats mainly provide a high pace in the naval battles, so the mode will not be boring.
