Google: gaming console - all info
Google now mixes in the most diverse segments. Gaming has also long been included, for example through Google Play Games. This was followed in November 2019 by the release of Google Stadia. This is less a console and more a cloud gaming service.
Google: gaming console and online service
Almost everything Google touches turns to gold - exceptions like Google Plus prove the rule. Especially in the gaming sector, Google could quickly gain a foothold, as the first steps have long been taken. Hardly any other company has advanced the digitization of the world as much as Google. It is therefore not surprising that a possible gaming console also relies on the Internet. However, it is not so much a console, but a cloud gaming service.- The Google game console is about video game streaming. Here, users access the offer via the Internet, only the required bandwidth must then be met and a constant Internet connection must be given.
- Until now, Google's efforts in this area were known as "Project Yeti". In November 2019, however, the service was released as "Google Stadia".
- You can play with it on your PC, smartphone or a TV if you have a Chromecast connected to it. On the PC, you also need the Google Chrome browser.
- For control, you can use any controller or a mouse and keyboard.
- Stadia itself is a paid service from Google, in addition, you have to pay for the games.
