TikTok: Search filters - how to succeed

In the online world, TikTok is undoubtedly one of the biggest trends of recent years. Funny videos and dances are shared in the application, which then quickly mutate into a viral hit. Although there is no real search for filters on TikTok yet, you can still use the function via a small detour.

How to search for a filter on TikTok

As easy as the installation of TikTok works, so does the search for filters:

1. Open TikTok and click on "Discover".
2. In the search bar, now enter the filter name, for example, trio filter, disco filter or color filter.
3. Now click on a video that appears in the search results, which uses the filter you are looking for.
4. Now click on the button for "Effect" above the username of the video.
5. You can now use the filter you are looking for directly for your own video.

That's why you can't find some TikTok filters

With the increasing number of new effects, it happens that you can't find every filter on TikTok. This is for a simple reason: the video with the filter originally came from another app, for example Snapchat, and was just re-shared on TikTok. In this case, the procedure for finding filters does not work.
