Xiaomi MI 9: Transfer data - how to do it

When you buy a new smartphone, the question arises how to transfer the data of the old phone to another smartphone. The solution is to create a backup on the PC and download it to the new phone. However, there are also more direct ways.

How data transfer works with Xiaomi MI 9

As with any smartphone, you have the option to transfer all data to a new smartphone or another device in multiple ways.

1. If you only want to transfer important information such as contacts, calendar data and notes to a new phone, the easiest way is via Google Drive.
2. Open the settings and go to "System" > "Advanced" > "Backup". Activate here the option "Backup my data".
3. Now you just have to add your Google account in the settings under backup account. Do the same on the new smartphone.
