YouTube: Add contacts in the app

For some time now, YouTube has also had an integrated messenger that you can use to write with your friends and other contacts. Of course, you need to have added contacts in the app beforehand for this. You can find out how that works here.

In order to send videos and chat messages to other people within the messenger of the YouTube app, you first need to add them as contacts.

1. First, launch the YouTube app and switch to the messenger area.
2. There, you will now find the "Add contacts" area roughly in the middle of the screen.
3. Directly below is the button "Send invitation link".
4. Now tap on the second icon from the right to switch to the "Shared" mode and select the invitation link directly afterwards.
5. Now you can choose which way you want to invite a contact and can write to them specifically.

YouTube: Chat mit Kontakten in der App starten

1. Hat der Kontakt Ihre Einladung akzeptiert, finden Sie ihn im „Geteilt“-Bereich.
2. Um nun einen Chat zu starten, müssen Sie innerhalb der App ein Video aussuchen.
3. Tippen Sie neben dem Thumbnail auf die drei Punkte und wählen Sie „Teilen“.
4. Suchen Sie nun den entsprechenden Kontakt aus, damit ein Chat gestartet und das Video geteilt wird.
