YouTube is available in nearly 100 countries, including many with large populations. High user numbers on the leading platform are therefore only logical.

How many YouTube users are there in total?

Here are the most important figures on YouTube as of 2019:

• Worldwide, more than 1.9 billion people are active on YouTube every month.
• In the important target group of 18- to 49-year-olds, around 80 percent visit YouTube every month.
• In Germany, more than 75 percent of all people use YouTube.
• This results in an average usage time of 11 minutes per day.
• The most important country for YouTube traffic is the USA with 16 percent. There, even of the over 75-year-olds, just under 50 percent are on the platform.

A strong factor for this distribution are especially mobile devices, since the use is increasingly shifting to mobile platforms.
