How many users does Instagram have - and who are they?

In the first half of 2019, here's how it looked:

• Instagram has around one billion users who are active every month.
• Of these, about half are even active on a daily basis - that is, 500 million people.
• 60 percent of Instagram users are 18 to 24 years old, and 90 percent are younger than 35. Men represent the most represented gender.
• The most important Instagram country is the United States with 110 million users, followed by Brazil with 66 million and India with 64 million. With 18 million users, Germany is in 10th place, just behind Mexico (20 million) and the United Kingdom (22 million).
