F1 2019: This is what the training programs bring - tips

The race weekends in F1 2019 consist of several sessions, just like real motorsport that is. We explain what training programs are all about and why it's worth not ignoring them.

Practice makes perfect: in F1 2019, this is especially true.

Training is preparation for the real thing. In the cockpit of F1 2019, you should definitely make use of the training programs.

F1 2019: Several good reasons for training programs

Every race weekend, three practice sessions are scheduled before qualifying and the race. In these you can drive freely, but advisable are the training programs offered:
  • The most important reason for completing training programs are the resource points you get for them. You can then put the points into research and development of new vehicle parts. This is a crucial point to improve your car during the season.
  • In addition, the training programs help you get better. You get to know the track, especially in the track acclimatization program, and in the qualifying simulation you see where you stand in competitive conditions.
  • The other programs deal with tire handling, fuel consumption and ERS management. This also helps (in addition to resource points) to better understand the car.
  • However, pay attention to the tires, as you only have limited sets available for the weekend. For example, if you complete too many laps with the softs in practice, they may be missing in the race, which is very bad.
  • If you simulate individual practice sessions instead of doing them yourself, you also get points, but less.
In career mode, it is thus mandatory to complete at least some training programs every weekend.
