Windows 10: Sorting apps - how it works
Since Windows 10, apps are no longer just on mobile systems. But the more apps you install on your computer, the harder it becomes to keep track of them. For this reason, the operating system gives you the option to sort them as needed.
How easy it is to sort your apps in Windows 10
In Windows 10, virtually all programs count as apps. The number of installed applications is therefore correspondingly large. In order to always keep track of them, it can be useful to sort the apps according to a certain system. Windows 10 already offers you a suitable function for this.- Click with the right mouse button on a free space on the desktop.
- Select "Sort by".
- Here you now have the option to sort the icons on your screen by name, size, item type or modification date.
- On the other hand, if you want to see all the apps installed on your device, enter "Apps and Features" in the search bar at the bottom left and select the result with the same name.
- On the right side you will find all installed apps.
- By default, this list is sorted by name. To change it, click the small arrow to the right of "Sort by: Name".
- Here you can now sort between "Name", "Size" and "Installation date".
