Samsung Galaxy A70: Hard Reset - how it works

If your Samsung Galaxy A70 responds slowly or crashes constantly, a so-called hard reset of the smartphone usually helps. Unlike a soft reset, which is a simple restart of the device, a hard reset resets the smartphone to the factory settings.

How to perform a hard reset

A hard reset deletes all data stored on the A70. Therefore, create a backup in advance to save everything important. You can restore the backup to the A70 after the reset.
  1. Call up the settings of the smartphone.
  2. Navigate to the category "Backup and Reset".
  3. Select the option "Reset to factory settings" there.
  4. Tap on "Reset device" and then on "Erase everything" to start the process. All data on the smartphone will then be deleted. Once the process is complete, the device reboots and is now in its original state.

Hard Reset via Recovery Mode

Alternatively, you can also use the Recovery Mode to reset the smartphone to factory settings.
  1. Turn off the device.
  2. Press the Power button and the Volume Down button simultaneously until the Samsung logo appears on the display.
