Will Disney+ run on SmartTVs? We have the answer

On March 24, 2020, the countdown was finally over - because Disney+ launched in Germany. For the real home theater feeling, this raises the question of compatibility with SmartTVs. Read how it looks.

Disney+ features various fictional universes, first and foremost Star Wars and Disney, in full. The playback device contributes to the movie pleasure.

Disney+: SmartTVs are served - in most cases

If you are interested in Disney+ and own a SmartTV, here's a look at the situation:

• For most common, reasonably modern SmartTVs, there was the appropriate app from Disney+ just in time for the launch. With this you use the service just like Netflix, Amazon and Co.
• If there is not the app for your device, there is still the possibility, the detour via a device such as the Amazon Fire TV Stick. The Disney+ app exists for it namely guaranteed.
• Another variant would be, if necessary, to stream from another device to the TV. However, this is not the most convenient way of all and should rather be the last option.

The chances are consequently very good that you can also watch Disney+ on the SmartTV, as there are several options. Exceptions are at most SmartTVs of older generations, if their software (such as Tizen) is not current enough for the Disney+ app. However, then options 2 and 3 will help - as we all know, these always work.
