Deleting your Facebook account - how to do it

Facebook as a social network still has the most users, but recently it has had to deal with a lot of deactivated, unused and even deleted accounts. If you too no longer need your account and want to turn your back on the network, it only takes a few steps.

With these steps you can delete your Facebook account

In order to delete your account, you need your login data. To deactivate or remove the account, you must first log in there.

1. Go to the Facebook website and log in there.
2. Then click on the top right on the short arrow pointing down and select the item "Settings and Privacy".
3. Here you now click on the item "Settings".
4. In the left column you will find the option "Your Facebook information" and then click on "Deactivation and deletion".
5. Here you can select that you want to "Delete your account permanently".
6. Select "Continue and delete account" and confirm again with "Delete account".
7. Enter your password again and click "Next".
8. Once everything is complete, you will be logged out automatically and within 30 days your account will disappear completely.

Will all data also be deleted?

1. Sobald Sie bestätigen, dass Ihr Konto vollständig gelöscht werden soll, sind damit auch alle Ihre hinterlegten Daten gemeint.
2. Es kann jedoch bis zu 90 Tage nach der Bestätigung dauern, bis tatsächlich alle Daten aus Facebook entfernt werden.
3. Die Daten sind anschließend nicht wiederherstellbar und müssen im Zweifel neu angelegt werden.
