Microsoft Teams: test call - here's how it works

At a time when the home office is becoming more established, video conferencing platforms are becoming very popular. With Microsoft Teams, you can organize and participate in video calls. To make sure everything works, it's best to use a test call.

How to make a test call in Microsoft Teams

Similarly to similar applications, for example Skype or Zoom, test the microphone and camera in Teams with these steps:
  1. Open Microsoft Teams and click on your profile picture.
  2. In the settings menu that appears, select the "Devices" option.
  3. Here, click on "Make a test call". Now you can test the camera as well as record and play back a test message.
  4. Finally, you will get the evaluation of the test call.

How to join a meeting after the test call

After checking the audio and video settings, you have several options to join a meeting:
  1. Simply click "Join meeting" in the join link in the email invitation.
  2. Öffnen Sie Ihren Teams-Kalender und klicken Sie im Kalendereintrag des Meetings auf „Teilnehmen“.
