PowerPoint: Insert and manage comments
The comment function is handy to insert notes, corrections and hints into a presentation. Also when working together on documents, the comment function is helpful. Microsoft PowerPoint provides you with the right tools for this purpose and we will show you how to use them.
PowerPoint: Insert comments - this is how it works
You can insert comments in PowerPoint just as easily as delete them again. As in other Office programs, you will find PowerPoint's comment function in a specific tab:- Click on the "Review" tab in PowerPoint's ribbon.
- There you will see the "Comments" section. Click on the place in PowerPoint where you want to insert a comment and then click on "New Comment".
- Alternatively, inserting comments is also possible via the "Insert" tab by clicking on "Comment".
- An additional bar will now appear on the right-hand side margin where you can see this and all other comments. There you can click on the individual comments and edit them afterwards.
- Also useful is the field "Show comments" in the ribbon. With this you can namely set whether the comment area on the right side of the page is displayed at all and also whether the markup is displayed.
