Creating surveys on Google Forms: How to do it

Google now offers you a variety of cloud documents. These include surveys, which you can find under the name Google Forms. These are handy for getting answers to certain questions quickly and without much effort.

With Google Forms, you can create free online surveys.

Create Google Forms: These steps are necessary

Google Forms is part of Google Docs and is accordingly easy to find. You need a free Google account to use the feature.
  1. Open the Google Forms web page via your browser.
  2. If prompted, sign in with your Google account. If you are already logged in to the browser, you will be directly in the main overview of Google Forms.
  3. In the middle you will now see the message "No forms yet". Click on the plus symbol at the top left under "Create new form" or select one of the templates.
  4. In the next window, give the form a name and formulate the question of your survey.
  5. In addition, enter the answer options ("Option 1", "Option 2", ...). On the right, you can set the format of the question, for example, "Multiple choice question", "Box" or "Dropdown".
  6. Click "Send" at the top of the Google Forms menu bar to create the survey.
  7. Enter the email addresses of the people who should receive the survey.
  8. Then click "Send".
All addressees will then receive an email inviting them to participate in the survey. You can see all submitted responses by switching to "Responses" in the survey overview at the top.
