YouTube: Delete playlist - how to remove

On YouTube, you have the option to save videos you like to a playlist. If you no longer like a playlist, you can delete it. How you proceed depends on whether it is a self-created or a saved playlist.

Deleting a self-created YouTube playlist

If you want to delete a playlist on YouTube, the procedure depends on whether the playlist is one you created yourself or one saved in your library by another user. Follow these steps to delete a playlist of your own:

1. Go to YouTube in your browser and log in with your user data.
2. Click on your profile picture in the upper right corner and select "YouTube Studio" from the menu.
3. Click on "Playlists" in the navigation on the left to get an overview of all playlists you have created.
4. Select the playlist you want to remove and click "Edit".
5. Click the three-dot icon on the left below the playlist name and select the option "Delete Playlist".
6. Confirm the process with "Delete".

Remove Saved Playlist

You can remove saved playlists via the media library. To do so, follow these steps:

1. Log in to your user account and access your media library via the navigation.
2. Scroll down to the "Playlists" category and start the playlist you want to delete.
3. Click on the blue icon with the three bars and the checkmark on the right side of the playlist overview window to remove the playlist from your library.
