If you want to record the screen of your Android smartphone, usually a separate software was needed for this. However, with the latest version of the Android 11 operating system, there is a built-in feature that lets you easily record and share the screen.

How to record your screen on Android 11

In previous Android versions, you needed a separate application to record and send the screen of your smartphone. However, Android 11 also added many additional features. So now you can directly record the screen with your smartphone.

1. First you need to swipe down twice from the top of the screen.
2. Then select the gray icon with the two circles for "screen recording". If you do not see the button, then you need to swipe to the right again. Alternatively, tap "Edit", this is marked with a "pencil" icon. Then drag "Screen Recording" into your quick settings.
