This is how it costs to get a defective iPhone X repaired

If your iPhone X is defective, you can try to repair the device yourself or have Apple do the repair. Depending on what type of defect is present, the cost of repair varies.

1. If your device is still within the one-year manufacturer warranty, a repair is possible free of charge.
2. If you have an Apple Care contract for your iPhone X, only a service fee is incurred for the repair, the amount of which depends on the type of damage and ranges from 29 to 99 euros.
3. If your iPhone X has neither warranty nor an Apple Care contract, costs of 311 euros are incurred for a display defect. If there is further damage to the device, the repair can cost up to 591 euros.
4. If you are not sure whether you are still entitled to services for your iPhone X, simply check this by specifying the service number on Apple's website.

If you want to have your defective iPhone X repaired by Apple, you can either bring the device to an Apple Store or send it in. To do this, however, be sure to contact Apple support first by going to their website to "iPhone" > "Repairs and Physical Damage" and place a repair order.
